Rob's Bookshelf
At some point I"m going to set up a bookshelf in my office with copies of certain key
books to loan or sell or give to my clients. Books that have helped me with my own
growth with various issues. I'm sure we all have our list. This is by no means a
comprehensive list, but here are some of mine....
Thanks to Oprah, millions of people are turned on to Mr.Tolle's
fundamental ideas. I personally prefer the audio version of this book--I got
it from our public library. I love to listen to it while I'm driving or doing
dishes.
Spirituality isn't about believing anything, it's about being present', and this
is how energy psychology can be so useful--taking the charge out of
memories of the past, and tapping away the "pain body".
The Power of Now
by Eckhart Tolle
The Promise of Energy Psychology
If you want to learn EFT for self help, this book is a fantastic resource.
It gives wonderfully coherant explanations of how tapping actually
works and gives full instructions for the 'basic recipe' and case studies
involving every sort of issue. A brilliant resource.
Journey of Souls
By Michael Newton, PhD
Even if you don't believe in reincarnation, I would think this would be a
fascinating read. While doing past life regressions, Dr. Newton
discovered that his patients could also remember their time between
lives, in the 'sprit world'. This book represents a comprehensive effort
through hundreds of sessions with as many different subjects to
explore and understand who we really are and what were really doing
here on earth. Especially comforting for anyone dealing with the death
of a loved one. Here's a video clip of Dr. Newton explaining his work.
Secrets of the Millionaire Mind
by T. Harv Eker
Prospertiy is a HUGE issue for so many people I meet and work
with. This book delves into the importance and rightness of being
rich and especially the differences between how rich people and poor
and middle class people think. I personally found some of the ideas
really challenging! It's a book about growth and re-programming
your subconscious mind and it's also full of wit and humor. I loved it,
but had to get over his relentless pushing of his three day weekend
trainings.
The Lazy Man's Guide to Enlightenment
by Thaddeus Golas
Unfortunately, this little gem is out print. You have to find it at
half.com or Amazon. 80 pages of boiled down psychedelic inspired
metaphysics. Especially good for anyone suffering from existential
angst or having freak outs of any kind.
You can read the book online here.
